Growth Without Depletion: Promoting Systemic Business Transformation - the report of our launch conference on 12 March 2026 at the Botanic Garden Amsterdam.

On Thursday 12 March 2026, Regenerative Business Leaders hosted their first international conference at the Botanic Garden Zuidas in Amsterdam, a fitting backdrop for a day of conversations about regenerating the relationship between business, society, and the natural world. With over 60 participants, the launch was a successful event filled with important conversations.

The Regenerative Business Leaders Initiative (RBL) was established as a result of the Anthropocene Conference held in January 2025 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where 200 scientists explored shared pathways for sustainable futures. It is supported and expanded by the Anthropocene Navigators community, a group of 500+ academics, practitioners, and innovators holding monthly meetings to accelerate sustainable solutions.

The event was organised by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, University of Amsterdam, WhatxNext, Wansdronk Architecture, SparkBiQ, Friesland-Campina, BLT Group, the Anthropocene Navigators and Sustainable Development Solutions Netherlands (SDSN), with a workshop led by Regenalyze/HvA.

In this report we gathered and described all eleven presentations delivered at the launch, and we present the first version of the Capstone Regenerative Business Leaders program. The full report is attached below.
